Who Said You Don’t Need A Moisturizer In Summers?
As the summer heat catches on, you go digging up your cool summer clothing to beat the heat. That’s quite understandable, but why are you putting away all those moisturizers and lotions?
You think moisturizers will make your skin greasy, but they’re still needed by your skin in summers, as they’re needed during winters. And here are some reasons why a moisturizer is a must all year through.
Don’t let the glow vanish
When you don’t use a moisturizer, your skin goes on to produce excess sebum to form a protective greasy layer on your skin. But this naturally produced sebum can clog your pores and make it difficult for your skin to breathe, thus making your skin look dull.
Also, the summer heat, combined with the harmful UV radiation and the pollution, robs off the moisture from your skin and thus takes away all the natural glow of your skin, so you really can’t afford to keep that moisturizer away.
Sun rays cause aging
It’s a well known and well accepted fact that the sun rays speed up the aging process, by causing damage to the collagen structure that supports the skin. If the skin is not well moisturized, the collagen structure becomes more susceptible to damage. So when you’re not using a moisturizer during summers, you’re giving an open invitation to fine line and wrinkles.
A protective covering
A moisturizer forms a protective layer, that prevents the skin pores from accumulating dirt and pollution particles and thus it prevents the formation of blackheads on your skin.
Go for the moisturizer
Before we go, we’ll again insist that you must use a best moisturizer no matter what the season of the year is. And in case oily or greasy skin is your problem, then you can always go in for an oil free moisturizer, but in no way can you afford to be without a moisturizer. And in addition to moisturizing your skin, do pay particular attention to cleansing your skin at least twice a day as long as the summer season is on.
