What’s Needed In A Teenager’s Wardrobe

When a teenage girl is about to enter high school it’s time to say goodbye to those lousy jerseys and track pants, and upgrade the wardrobe with certain specific items of clothing. Here’s a little list of clothing that a teenage girl should stock in her wardrobe to stay in trend as she steps into adulthood.

Bottom wear

The first most essential thing is a nice pair of fitting jeans, where fitting has to be prime and not the label or the price. It’s always safer to play along the straight-leg and boot cut lines, in denim shades ranging from medium to dark. Skinny jeans, tattered denim and baggy fits are best avoided, even though they may be considered too-trendy in certain places.

The next thing on your list should be a few pairs of pants in neutral colors such as beige, russet and auburn. Let the pants be simple with no extra adornments, and something that is sleek and properly fitting.  And be sure to have at least one pair of black pants as they can be clubbed with almost any top. Skirts are a must have for every teenage girl, and if nothing more just get yourself a nice denim skirt and one plain black skirt.

Shirts and Tops

For top wear, get yourself some neutral color shirts, in checks or stripes, and a few tank tops to wear under the shirts. Even plain color shirts and polka dotted ones can be added to a teenage girl’s wardrobe, provided you know how to mix and match them to get to a perfect outlook. And nothing is classier than a plain white button-down shirt or a plain black shirt with about three-quarter length sleeves.

For outer wear get some nice cardigans, and here you needn’t stick around with neutral shades, rather go on and try some fun patterns like animal prints, floral, Paisley or embroidery or sequin embellished cardigans. Since, cardigans aren’t just enough to stay cozy during the cold season, get your self some heavy coats in woolen blends, suede or leather.

Denim jackets aren’t much of an adorable piece, however if you want to wear one, avoid something too-trendy or too stylish. Leather coats and jackets are always in vogue, provided you buy the right style in good soft leather.

And lastly, get yourself a few pairs of different types of shoes such as ballet flats, dress shoes and tennis shoes. Sandals are not very charming on teenage girls so keep your choice restricted to shoes only.
