Vitamin B6 Benefits

One of the important B- complex vitamins is vitamin B6, a water soluble vitamin.

Vitamin B6 also goes by the name of pyridoxine. Otherwise you can take a B-complex tablet to meet your daily requirements of vitamin B6. However, meeting your daily vitamin B6 requirement, by taking supplements over an extended period of time, can lead to health complications.

Vitamin B6 acts as a co-enzyme and controls more than one hundred enzymatic functions.  Our body will not be able to break down complex nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins and fats into their simpler forms without the presence of vitamin B6.
