Tips For First Date
First date give most of us slight shivers. But with a stable head on shoulders and some sensibility, you might end up doing just fine on your first date. First dates are when two people analyse each other in every possible way.
As the saying goes “the first impression the last impression”. In case of a first date it is often true. Either the other person will like you or not like you or might want to spend more time with you to know you better. So in order to make that long lasting first impression, do dress up well.
Do not over do anything on your first date. Try to wear something simple, yet something which makes you look great. Do have a good bath and also brush your teeth properly. Smile is the first thing that get noticed on a date and so you will have to make sure you do not go wrong there.
Comb your hair neatly and wear a clean pair of footwear. Put on a good deodorant or perfume. Be careful not to pour the entire bottle on yourself as that might make your date feel that you are too eager to impress. Follow these grooming tips for sure to make your date a hit.
Next most important thing is the location of your date. While choosing the location for your date try not to take your date to an extremely fancy restaurant, where he/she might have trouble handling the fork and spoons. Choose a simple, yet classy and clean restaurant where you can actually sit and talk.
If you and your date have common interests and both of you like watching games then you can also choose to go for your favorite game for a date. This works well for most people as watching game breaks the ice between the couple and helps them both interact better. You can also meet up at a park or some other common place, which you both can decide mutually, if you haven’t already planned any location in advance.
Certain gestures of courtesy like opening door, pulling chair out for your date etc. works well in impressing your date. But some people might find it very conservative and old fashioned. So repeat such gestures next time only if your date likes it. Converse easily and try not to stress out. Talk about each other’s hobbies, interests, etc. Try to stay positive, happy and optimistic.
Do not narrate your past and bad experiences right on the first date or else you might look like a very negative person to your date. Do not talk continuously without giving any regard to your date. Before speaking make sure your date does not have anything to say. If your date offers to say something then let him/her go first. It is very important to be a good listener on first date.
At the end of a date you might have an idea about how it went. Depending on that you can suggest that you will call your date and do ensure that you call your date at the earliest. If you do not want to call the person again then simply tell him/her that it was great and say good bye.
