The little black dress diet
Christmas is approaching and so is mounting your worries, about wearing that party dress. The dress is fine; the only problem is your diet. You need to get slimmer, to look perfect in that dress. So, what to do? Abandon all those mince pies and chocolates and wine? No way.
Here are some tips which will help you eat your fill for the next few weeks and still be in perfect shape for the black party dress! No, we are not prescribing you to drink nettle tea and eat mung beans all the day. You have to get smart with what you generally eat. You can still have mince pies and chocolate and red wine – just with slightly healthier versions well balanced up with other yummies.
In Most diet foods portion sizes are given, but some of them are quite vague – a portion here and a handful there. These are mostly used for fruit and vegetable items where portion size is not too important. A fruit portion would usually be a piece of medium size of a fruit such as an orange, pear or apple, a small-sized banana, or even two small fruit such as plums, a large slice of melon, a cup full of berries, grapes or
cherries.
You need to add enough of vegetables to fill you up – half of an onion and half of a pepper plus 5 florets of broccoli, etc. Veggies are quite filling, have almost zero calories and are so good for your health – have lots of them!
You can have tea and coffee with sweeteners if you want, but limit at four cups a day. Don’t take diet fizzy drinks more than one can or 500ml per day.
Water, in contrast, the more the merrier – drink 1 to 2 liters daily. Salads and green veggies are nice too, the more the better!
