The Latest In Accessory Trends
January 16, 2009
As everything in the world goes talking of natural and organic, well the fashion world is no behind and while natural fabrics have always been a favorite, the new version of natural accessories is taking the center stage. It’s time to bid farewell to all the glitz of artificial accessories and update your fashion collection with some great new natural additions.
Collections from the sea
While the sea has already blessed us with the most classic of all fashion jewelry, that is pearls, seashells are another one from the sea which can spark up your looks the natural way. Sea shells are being profusely used in jewelry and other accessories like belts, bracelets, handbags and shoes.
Wood and leather
Accessories, made in wood and leather, have always been around and now they’re becoming increasingly popular because they’re completely natural. There are wonderful necklaces crafted with wooden beads which you can use to portray your carefree nature, or use the leather jewelry for a boho touch. Most of these pieces are exclusive and well crafted, but you need to be a little careful about how much to wear to avoid getting overboard.
You can also pick up something from metal studded leather range of accessories such as wristbands, handbags and belts. Since most of these are quite ornate, it is prudent to go with just one piece and that one piece must sit well with the remaining of your ensemble. Leather and wood based accessories go best with tank tops and distressed denim.
Gemstone
To rock the party with your rocking looks, how about using some rocks in your jewelry? By rocks we mean natural gemstones, they are indeed a great way to add a dash of color and spice to your outfit. There are lots of artificial stones as well, and certainly they cost less, but you need to be careful when choosing jewelry with artificial stones and pick up only those pieces of jewelry in which the stones used, look almost natural.
You could also look up for some exciting stone jewelry at the local artisans, because they usually have some unique pieces at affordable rates. And lastly, when the stress is so much on being natural, let your color choice also be inspired by natural colors such as browns, greens, reds and yellows.
