Stress Busters
Use the following relaxation techniques to beat the stress:
Japanese Foot Relaxation
After soaking your feet in hot water for some minutes, rub them vigorously to better the blood circulation. Next, massage therapy the toes in clockwise and anticlockwise direction. After finishing this act, pull each toe in the outward direction. After that, place your feet on the lap and rub your soles using fingers in the beginning and fists later. Draw to a close by tapping the soles lightly.
Head Massage
Use fast, circular motions to apply hot oil on your scalp and massage the same. Press your pressure points with the fingers lightly so that the stress is erased. If you have any tension in the areas of your neck or head, this massage will offer relief.
Ice Rub
Rubbing some ice cubes on closed eyelids and the face acts as a great stress buster. You may even make use of used tea-bags.
Abdominal Breathing
Let your hands rest on your abdomen at first. Then, inhale deeply. While you inhale the air, push out your stomach. Hold your breath for a period that doesn’t strain you. Afterwards, exhale by pulling your stomach in. This type of abdominal breathing has great benefits.
Upside-down Maneuvers
After lying on the floor, rest your legs on a surface that is at a height above the floor level. Inhale deeply after crossing your arms across the chest. This exercise improves blood circulation to the brain and is useful for the whole body. However, ensure that you don’t perform such exercises after having a meal.
Dry Skin Brushing
You can use a loofah or a dry bristle brush to exfoliate your skin and give it a healthy glow. Such dry skin brushing will also improve the blood circulation and revitalize you. The best part of this technique is that it is very easy to perform.
