Spotting scammers on dating sites

Finding a partner through online dating sites isn’t always as easy as it may sound, because there are several types of weird characters that you need to sieve out. There are married men looking for a slice of fun outside their marriage, there are desperate fellows who can go to any extreme just to get a woman to bed, there are players who want to play around with as many men as they can find and the list goes on and on. Here is a list of some types of weird men you may come across on these dating sites, along with some help on how to spot them and prevent yourself from getting scammed.
The married guy
Some of the guys may be outright open to declare that they are married but living separately, and they’re not really bad as long as they have actually been living separately from their partner. But most often, the guys are lying to trap women, so you’d better get on guard, if the man says he is married. There is no dearth of guys, so why go after someone who is married and has a troubled relationship.
Besides these troubled guys, there are also some guys who are happily married, and still are seen trying to solicit some short term pleasure oriented relationships on internet dating sites. And most of these guys pretend to be single. It isn’t easy to spot out such betrayers, and it is for a woman to read between the lines and find out that the person is not already committed.
The desperate lot
There is a desperate breed of men, who want nothing but sex, also seen frequenting the dating sites. They may try to prove that they are very faithful in the initial conversations, but their desperation for sex soon starts cropping out and it won’t be very long before you realize that the guy wants you, only for sex. A desperate fellow is always in a hurry and may begin talking about how deeply he is in love with you within the first three or four chatting sessions. He won’t be interested in knowing too much about the kind of person you are, or what are the things that interest you, and all such things that a truly interested guy would want to know.
The player
These guys again don’t want to spend too much of time on chatting and knowing you. And although they may not talk about sex, it’s surely on their mind. He may ask you out on a date very early, that is, much before knowing anything about you or before letting you know anything about him. It’s easy to spot such guys, because these guys don’t have much time to chat with you, quite so because they have all their hands full. And they are least likely to keep on chatting with you if you don’t accept to go out on a date with them within a week or two.
