Skin Cleansing Using Yogurt and Honey

Yogurt is not just a healthy food item but also has an important component, which has got live strains of microorganisms that are known to clear the bacteria from the digestive tract.

What is not so well known is the fact that yogurt can be used on the skin as well and is one of the most effective and natural skincare treatments today.

When you plan to clean your skin using yogurt, the first step will be to wash your face thoroughly and clear it of all the dust, dirt and sweat. Use a mild soap and once you are done, pat dry your face to avoid the skin from getting stretched.

Once the face is dry, moisten a towel in warm water and pat it on your face. This will open all the skin pores and allow the skin to eject any unwanted substances easily. To help with that, take a small amount of unfiltered honey and rub it around your face by moving your hands round.

This will be a motion that will increase blood circulation as well as help prevent wrinkles from forming by nourishing the skin and clearing the pores as well.

Let the honey be on your face for at least 10 minutes. It will help killing the bacteria that have caused blemishes and it will also help extract the dead skin cells. Wash the honey off and pat yourself dry with the skin towel.

Ensure that you use clean towel every time to avoid what you had cleared from going on your face again. Keep at least five towels for use. Your skin is now clean and all the dirt and unwanted particles have been removed.

Take plain yogurt out of the fridge. Apply generous amounts on the face and the neck. You can sit back and relax; you can either take a quick nap or read a magazine, but let the yogurt stay on the face for at least 10 minutes. Yogurt has high content of zinc, which helps clearing the acne.

The microorganisms will ensure that any remaining bacteria in the skin are gone and the skin will get thoroughly moisturized. Wash off with cold water to close the pores.

Feel your skin gentle and smooth to touch.
