honey-for-skin If you want to look sweet, how about using something sweet for skin care. If that sounds odd, let me make it plain and simple, and talk about skin care with something as sweet as honey. Honey which is used to dress up some of the most lip smacking desserts is an excellent ingredient for skin care, as well.

Honey has loads of benefits to offer, both for good overall health and for your skin. It has a magical healing touch which makes it a real favorite, as a home remedy, for several skin problems. Natural honey is loaded with essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, chlorine, sulfur, potassium, sodium, phosphate and iron, and with vitamins like vitamin B. and C.

The kind of lovely nutritional composition that honey has, it certainly is a great ingredient for all your skin care recipes. There are several ways in which you can use it as a mask, or a toner, or a cleanser, to treat and pamper your skin. Most of the nutrients found in honey are in a form that can be easily absorbed by the skin.

Apart from nutrition, honey has excellent moisturizing properties to maintain and enhance the elasticity, softness and suppleness of your skin. And before I give you some great beauty recipes made with honey, I would like to mention just one more thing that honey also helps in repairing the damage caused by UV rays.
