Skin Care After The Age Of 30

Once you  cross the age of 30, your skin may need a lot of care to  keep its glow intact. The skin at this stage tends to get very dry often and wrinkles, discolouration, pigmentation may also begin to appear.

Often this early signs of ageing are as a result of ignoring your skin over the years. Too much sun exposure, lack of a healthy diet and not taking care of your skin can cause a lot of damage to your skin. To keep the skin radiant and youthful, you need to follow a regime of cleansing, moisturising and revitalising your skin.

Cleansing your skin

A cream cleanser is always preferable as lotions may tend to dry and tighten the skin more with their water content. The skin needs to be cleansed every night to remove all the make up and dirt which clogs the pores. Your skin needs to breath at night.

Moisturise on a daily basis

Skin tends to lose moisture easily after the age of thirty. It is always good to moisturise it two times a day.For the face, choose the right moisturiser and give it a mini-massage using your finger tips. Massage gently using circular and upward movements while applying the facial cream.

If your skin is getting more dry, then switch to an extra-hydrating body wash and body lotion. This is best applied when the skin is still damp after a bath as this helps trap moisture. Moisturising helps the skin to be more elastic and thus helps reduce the formation of wrinkles.

Don’t  ignore your eyes and lips in your moisturising routine. Chapped lips and dark circles around eyes are very common after 30. You will need a good lip balm and apply it many times a day. Also, use a good under eye cream to get rid of dark circles.

Hair also needs proper maintenance and needs to be cleaned and conditioned properly. To revitalise your skin, you need to clean, moisturise, scrub and tone your skin properly. This can help undo much of the damage done to skin.

Use a scrub once a month

Srub your face once in a month as this will help reduce blackheads and removes dead cells. Follow it up with a toner for dry skin.

Getting regular facials

Getting a facial done every month helps tighten the facial muscles and freshen them up. Check with your beauty therapist and choose the right facial for your skin. Use the right kind of face packs to keep your skin glowing.

Hydate the body from within to make your skin radiant

Drink plenty of water. Also, include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.
