To prepare this scrub, combine, half a cup of kosher salt (you can replace kosher salt with ordinary sea salt) with half a cup of extra virgin olive oil a teaspoon of vitamin E and two drops each of grapefruit, spearmint and orange essential oils. Once the ingredients have blended well, transfer to airtight glass jars. Apply the scrub in circular motion over the entire body and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
Jojoba Oil and Fine Grain Sea Salt for Ageing Skin:
Take twenty four ounces of fine grain sea salt and mix it with one ounce of jojoba oil and three ounces of sunflower oil. Next add four ounces of liquid castile soap and three drops of rose essential oil for fragrance. Mix well and transfer the scrub to an airtight glass jar. Allow the mixture to settle in the jar. The salt will settle down at the bottom of the jar followed by a quarter inch of oil on the top. This is an excellent recipe for ageing skin as it helps to not only exfoliate the skin but also moisturize it with the jojoba and sunflower oils.
