Remedies for Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is one of the most annoying side effects of pregnancy. If this is the first time you are pregnant, you should know that regardless of the name, morning sickness  can happen on any part of the the day, be it morning or noon or night. So, this is not something that you have to deal with just in the morning.

One of the best methods to deal with morning sickness is to drink ginger tea in the morning that greatly helps in keeping the morning sickness in check. Well, of course, drinking this is not just restricted for morning. You can have this around a couple of times a day.



Crackers are a sure way of dealing with morning sickness. Doctors usually suggest that you keep them by your side and eat them whenever you get these bouts. There is no special ingredient in cracker that helps morning sickness but eating some food and keeping your stomach busy will control the nausea and the sickness.

Just like tea, it is recommended that you consume a lot of fluids. This is not a measure to prevent in any way but simply to replace the lost fluids in the body due to constant vomiting. You can either go for health juices or just plain water. Around 12 glasses a day should help control the fluid level in your body.



Fatty and oily food usually induce nausea and vomiting. So make sure you keep these out of your diet.

There are some Tea available in the market that are specially designed for morning sickness. Try looking for these and drink them a couple of them a day.

The aroma from the Peppermint essential oil is said to work miracles on the nausea. If not oil, just the aroma of peppermint would work. Pour out a couple of drops of the essential oil in a bowl of water and place it close to you so you can continue to breathe in its aroma. This calms down the nauseating feeling of the stomach.



Taking in fresh air also greatly helps you calm down. Go out and take a walk and breathe in some fresh air. This, if nothing, at least lets to deal with the fatigue and irritation that comes along with the morning sickness.
