Preventing Wrinkles – Some Tips

Everybody would love to have a wrinkle free skin. But with the increase in age, our skin will lose its elasticity and wrinkles will start to show up.

Also lack of proper skin care can cause premature wrinkling of the skin.



Instead of seeking out for remedies for dealing with wrinkles, it will be better that for us to take steps to prevent wrinkles in the first place.

You can also do regular facial exercises to prevent wrinkle formation. These exercises strengthen the facial muscles and skin tissues. One type of facial exercise involves filling your mouth with water and holding your cheeks filled with water for some time. This exercise prevents wrinkles formation around the lips.



Overexposure of the skin to the sun leads to wrinkle formation. Whenever you ar out in the sun, you should protect your skin by wearing broad rimmed hats, full sleeved shirts and a sunscreen having a SPF of minimum 15.

Always moisturize your skin. For best results, apply the moisturizer on damp skin. Do not ever wash your face with hot water. You can also rub an ice pack over your face everyday in the morning. This hydrates the skin and slows down the process of wrinkle formation.

Exfoliate your skin at least twice a week to remove dead cells. Application of Aloe vera gel on the face is also seen to slow down wrinkle formation.



Massage Vitamin E oil gently around the eye area every night.This will delay wrinkle formation in the area surrounding the eyes. You can also massage your face with a mixture of oatmeal and honey and than wash off after 5 minutes. This is a proven natural remedy against wrinkle formation.

Always drink plenty of water. This will keep your skin hydrated and will help it to maintain its elasticity for longer periods of time. Eat a healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals. Having a daily dose of green tea is also found to delay wrinkle formation, as it is seen to stimulate collagen production in the skin.

Try sleeping on your back every night. Pressing your face too hard on pillows will contribute to wrinkle formation in that area.

Avoid stress and exercise regularly .Also give up habits like smoking and alcohol consumption for a healthy and wrinkle free skin.
