Pedicures At Home

Pedicures at parlors can wreck havoc on your budget especially when done in high-end parlors and spas. Now by following the tips mentioned below you can perform pedicures at home and save money.

Chocolate pedicures are the latest in trend and can be carried out at home. Chocolates are an indulgence for everyone and for every mood. Chocolates can provide you relief when you are stressed and can give respite when applied topically. If you feel exhausted and your feet have become sore, a chocolate pedicure can revive you and make you feel better and relaxed.

It is the best way not just to get soft and smooth feet but to pamper yourself. The best part is that these pedicures can be performed at home. The procedure for performing a chocolate pedicure is much like a normal pedicure. Collect all the essentials including tub of lukewarm water, nail paint remover, nail clippers, cuticle remover, cotton, scrubber and chocolate.
First prepare a chocolate mixture consisting of ¼ cup of cocoa powder, 4 tbsp of honey and 2 tbsp of lotion, oil or cream.

Chocolate with more cocoa butter is recommended as it helps in softening the skin. Dark chocolate is known for its antioxidant properties that softens the skin and gets rid of the wrinkles. Mint can be added to the chocolate to make it refreshing for the feet. Choose any of these chocolates and blend it along with all the other ingredients to form a paste.

Apply this paste on your feet and gently massage by moving your hands in circular motions. It is necessary to scrub and clean your feet before applying this paste. Use the warm water to soak your feet and after ten minutes gently scrub the skin on your feet to remove the impurities. Then apply the chocolate paste and leave it on for 15 minutes.

The exfoliating property of chocolates helps to cleanse the skin of impurities and hydrate the skin by compensating for the loss of moisture. For the purpose of base, any oil or lotion can be used. Coconut, almond and olive oils are preferable as they moisturize the skin to make it gentle. Honey can be mixed along with other ingredients to make the skin radiant.
