No More Blackheads
Those tiny little black spots on your nose called blackheads are nothing but blocked pores. If you think the black color is because of the dirt stuck in the pores, you’re mistaken because it is not the dirt but just the natural skin oil called sebum which turns black on oxidation.
Surface cleaning of the skin is quite easy; however the pores need more than just a splash of water to be thoroughly cleaned. There are several ways in which you can clean the pores and remove blackheads.
The easiest way is to get some black head removal strips which can be procured easily from any medical or departmental store. Using them is simple, wet the strip and then stick it on to your nose, leave it to dry and then just peel it off. Quite simple isn’t it?
The other way out, when you have some time on hand, is to manually remove blackheads. For this you will need to steam your face for approximately ten minutes to open up the pores. Then take some cotton in both your hands, and gently squeeze the skin using the cotton to make the blackheads ooze out. Be gentle or you might end up scarring your skin.
Exfoliating is another way to deal with blackheads. You can make use of a face scrub to remove blackheads and to open the blocked pores. Again the caution is to go gentle, since harsh scrubbing can damage your skin. Caring out an exfoliating routine twice a week is good enough not only to remove blackheads but also to prevent formation of new black heads. If you don’t want to spend money on buying a commercial face scrub, make one at home with an egg white and a spoon of salt. Gently massage this mixture on your face, then let it dry and wash it off with warm water. Egg can also be replaced with lemon juice.
