Natural Shampoos for Healthy Hair

Natural shampoo as the name indicates refers to shampoos whose ingredients are completely natural. A common misconception about preparing natural shampoos at home is that it is a time consuming procedure.

You can prepare most of these shampoos in a jiffy and reap the benefits of its all natural ingredients.



Natural shampoos fall under the green products category. They are extremely economical as well. Today one can prepare a variety of natural shampoos which can effectively combat hair and scalp problems like dandruff, eczema of the scalp, falling hair, thinning hair and split ends among others.

Tea Tree Oil and Jojoba Shampoo



If you are suffering from dandruff or have itchy and dry scalp this is the ideal shampoo for you. Mix together five drops of tea tree essential oil with half a teaspoon of jojoba oil and six fluid ounces of liquid castile soap. Once the ingredients have mixed well; transfer to a plastic container, to be used as and when required.

Rosemary Oil Shampoo

The Rosemary oil shampoo provides the ideal antidote to combat hair loss and thinning hair conditions. To make this shampoo, blend together five drops of rosemary oil with three drops of tea tree oil and six ounces of liquid castile soap. When the ingredients have blended together well, transfer to a clean container. Use this shampoo regularly and witness the amazing results.



Chamomile tea and Olive Oil Shampoo

If you have been blessed with naturally blond hair this is a great shampoo for you. The chamomile tea and olive oil shampoo is a unique natural product which helps to brighten blond locks.

To prepare this shampoo, soak together four chamomile tea bags with half a teaspoon of olive oil and one cup of water. Half an hour later strain the mixture and allow it to cool down. Add three ounces of liquid castile soap to the steeped liquid and store in a plastic container.

Burdock Root and Stinging Nettles Shampoo

If excessive hair loss is your problem, then this is the shampoo to use. In a deep pan, steep together a teaspoon each of burdock root, stinging nettles and horsetail in a cup of distilled water for approximately half an hour.

Strain the liquid and allow the mixture to cool. Then add three ounces of liquid castile soap and transfer to clean container.
