Natural Foot Exfoliating Treatments

Our feet bare the burden of our body the entire day. They carry us wherever we need to go. This makes them very tired and the skin on our feet tend to look dull and unhealthy as a result of the strain that they go through.

Most women go for professional pedicures regularly however there is no need for this. You can give yourself a spa therapy in the comfort of your home with the help of a few ingredients out of your kitchen pantry.

Oatmeal is the prefect ingredient to help you exfoliate your feet. Along with this you will need a small amount of milk or full cream, honey and a few drops of an unscented lotion. Start with blending the oats in a blender. It needs to feel like sand in between your fingers. Once the oatmeal is rough you can add a few drops of milk and honey to it and blend it once again to form a thick paste like consistency. You now have your exfoliating scrub ready for use.

Now you need to find a nice spot in your house to sit and massage your feet. Spare 15 to 20 minutes to pamper your feet. If you have children around the house and you think that you may not be able to dedicate this time to yourself you can either get them to indulge in the activities or use the bathroom to pamper yourself.

Slather the paste onto your feet very generously. Let is stay for a few minutes until it begins to get dry. When this happens you can start massaging your feet. Exert pressure on your toes, around your heels and the areas that tend to ache. Do not forget to massage your legs also, only paying attention to your feet will not help.

After you massage the paste on your feet it will begin to shed in small shavings. Let the remaining product stay on your feet for a few minutes. Dip your fingers in olive oil and then massage the feet gently. This will help to moisturize your skin. Your feet will look clean and feel well nourished and cared for. This is a simple and very effective way to give yourself a spa treatment in the comfort of your home.
