Massage Oils – For Relaxing Tired and Overworked Muscles

There are many different kinds of massage oils which are available in the market today.

Massage oils are a gentle and soothing way of relaxing the tired and overworked muscles of the body. Different types of massage oils can be combined to enhance the massage experience. The following massage oil recipes are prepared in the home with oils that can be easily procured from the market.



Violet and Anise Massage Oil Recipe:

Blend together, ten drops of anise oil, twenty drops of violet oil, fifteen drops of jasmine essential oil, three drops of ylang ylang, ten drops of honeysuckle and four tablespoons of any carrier oils. Once the oils have blended together well, transfer to a clean glass bottle. Heat a small quantity of this oil mixture before massaging it into the body.



Tropical Delights Massage Oil Recipe:

Blend together a quarter cup of castor oil with a quarter cup of sweet almond oil and half cup of mineral oil. Next add a quarter cup of coconut and pineapple fragrance oil mixtures. Transfer the oil blend into a clean glass jar. Before using the oils, heat it slightly. Massage the oils into the body and experience the difference.

Fruit Massage Oil Recipe:



Heat a half cup of walnut oil with one tablespoon of grated grapefruit and one teaspoon each of dried rosemary and thyme. Simmer the oil and fruit and spice mixtures on a low flame but do not allow it to boil over.Next remove the oil and spice mixture from the flame and allow it to cool. Transfer to a clean glass jar and use a small quantity of this spiced fruit oil mixture for a relaxing massage.

Tangerine Massage Oil Recipe:

Blend together three drops of jasmine oil, with three drops of sandalwood oil, four drops of tangerine oil, and five drops of ylang ylang oil and one ounce of any carrier oil.  Store the oil in a clean glass jar. Warm a small quantity of this oil before massaging it into the body.

Mystical Orient Massage Oil Recipe:

Blend together eight teaspoons of peanut oil, with six drops of orange oil, two drops of sandalwood oil, and two drops of rosemary oil and one drop of jasmine oil. Pour the oil mixture into a clean glass container. Heat a small quantity of the oil mixture before massaging it into the body.
