Makeup Tips for a Round Face

If you use a light colored shade of the lipstick, then apply a coat or two more of clear gloss. Do not forget to focus all the light colors towards the center of the face. The lighter these areas are, the more prominent they stand. Therefore it is vital that the T section of the face becomes prominent.

For creating an illusion of a longer face, two colors of foundations will be required amongst which the lighter one will be for the center of the face and the darker one will be for the background. Pat the lighter foundation on the forehead, the nose and the chin. Blend the color well.

Place the dark colored foundation in the area that you want to take away attention from. A classic example will be the jaw line. When the jaw line recedes in the back ground due to a dark colored foundation, then the cheek bones naturally become prominent and seem higher and more pronounced.

The areas away from the center of the face must be dotted with the darker foundation and then it must be blended well with the lighter areas as well for an even texture.

It is always advised that powder be applied in the face all over, as it tends to highlight the lighter area more than the darker ones as is required for a round face.
