Is Microdermabrasion A Good Option?

I never imagined that someday would come when I will consider botox.  As I am nearing the 40’s and find wrinkles setting in, I feel that I need to take care of my skin, body, and soul. Now, I can I understand why women wish to stay young. The society considers signs of aging as becoming “less than” or being “ugly”. Though I don’t support such views, I would surely want to be youthful.

Intake of healthy and well balanced diet along with regular exercise can keep one fit and full of energy. However, women also need to have a positive frame of mind to enjoy what they are doing and have faith in their activities.

But I want to go beyond this common belief.  I’ve heard a lot about microdermabrasion, which seems to be a rage these days. I have experienced it two times. Microdermabrasion is used to remove the uppermost layer of dead cells from your face. Such removal of dead cells leaves new skin on the face. After my microdermabrasion session, I found that my face had a more toned look and had less “gray” areas.

However, I am not sure if one should try this technique before reaching the age of 40 years. Microdermabrasion therapy is supposed to encourage the growth of collagen. However, I can’t vouch for this fact as I didn’t feel my face becoming more supple or anything of the same effect. I believe that women often spend money to help others and this is something that I believe a gift for myself. So, I am happy to give it a try. As I have some more sessions of microdermabrasion left, I will be in a better position to comment once they get over!  Till then, you can give it a try to experience the effects yourself.
