How to Wear a Formal Shirt in Different Styles and Look Trendy
I am not a big fan of dressing in formal clothes; to be honest I actually detest wearing my work wear from Monday to Thursday.Since I have no other option but to wear a pair of trousers and a shirt almost every other day I decided to wear the outfits in different styles in order to look and feel sexy.
With a little experimentation I was able to pull of different looks with only a few shirts. I had a lot to benefit from this because initially I would invest in several shirts in different colors and styles but now I simply accessorize the few shirts that are in my closet and come up with a different look almost every day.
I love wearing shrugs over dresses and outfits that are too revealing. Though the shrug does not cover too much skin it does offer some solace to times when you feel the urge to cover up your skin. I incorporated the shrug into my work wear too. Crochet shrugs look very elegant when worn over a simple formal shirt.
You can wear a black shrug on white, red or pastel shirts while white shrugs can be worn over black, navy blue and pink shirt. If you don’t want to have a dramatic look then you can wear a white shrug over a pastel colored shirt. In this case do not wear the shrug over printed, stripped or patterned shirts. The detailing of the shrug should not interfere with or hide the beauty of the formal shirt.
Another way to change the look of a formal shirt is to wear it with a simple tank top in the same or a contrasting color. If you wear it this way then you can button only the bottom half of the shirt and leave the rest of the buttons undone. This is a great way to wear formal shirts during the summer. While the look is classy it also has an accent of summer fun and frivolity in it.
Wear a halter top over your formal shirt in such a way that the halter top looks like a vest. This is an easy way to change your look without having to invest in a vest. I love this look as it adds to the glam of a simple shirt. You can get away with wearing a tube top with your formal shirts too. When you are wearing either of these looks it is best to wear a jacket or a blazer to the office to give your outfit a professional look.
These are just a few tips to get you started on how to change your boring work shirts into something dramatic and stylish. Go ahead and create your own styles and trends.
