How To Spend A Romantic Evening At Home

For a romantic evening at home, have a simple setting and prepare a light meal. You can cook the following recipe together, thereby setting the mood right for a romantic evening:

Ingredients for Shrimp Scampi Noodles – the main dish:

1 1/2 cups of uncooked wide noodles

1 powdered clove garlic

1/3 cup butter

1/4 teaspoon of dried basil

1/2 pound fresh shrimp that’s deveined and shelled

2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

Pepper and salt to taste

1 teaspoon of fresh parsley that’s chopped

Fresh lemon wedges

Follow directions to cook noodles and then drain it. Meanwhile melt butter by using a large skillet that’s put on low heat. Add basil and garlic. Cook for half an hour while stirring continuously. Next, add shrimp, stir constantly and cook until shrimp becomes pink. Sprinkle salt, lemon juice and pepper followed by the addition of parsley. Finally, toss hot noodles in the mixture, add sauce and serve along with lemon wedges. This dish serves 2 persons. Note: You may use boneless chicken instead of shrimps.

You can buy a salad kit from the stores. You can even purchase a baguette, a loaf of French bread or two croissants and serve them with butter.
The dessert: Pots de Creme

Ingredients:

1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate that’s broken in pieces

1/3 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of light cream

1 tablespoon of softened butter

1 egg yolk that’s somewhat beaten

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

Whipped cream topping

Put the cream and chocolate pieces in saucepan and cook on medium heat by stirring continuously till chocolate flecks vanish and the mixture becomes hot. Put in some sugar and carry on cooking until the mixture starts to boil. Remove the saucepan from heat and add beaten egg yolk while stirring constantly. Next, stir some vanilla and butter into it. Pour the mixture in glasses or bowls and cover them with plastic wrap. Put them into the freezer until they are set. Put some whipped cream as topping and serve.
