How To Make An Anti-Aging Moisturizer

How To Make An Anti-Aging Moisturizer In order to maintain your skin in a healthy state, it is important that you moisturize it on a daily basis. This skin care routine gains even more importance, as you grow older.

With an increase in age, there will be a prominent decrease in the production of collagen and essential skin oils. This will in turn lead to appearance of lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores on your skin. In order to combat these signs of aging, it is necessary that you keep your skin hydrated by using a suitable anti-aging moisturizer.

Instead of using commercially available moisturizers, you can very well prepare a homemade anti aging moisturizer. These moisturizers, which are made from natural ingredients, will ensure that your skin remains healthy, young and beautiful. Described below are 3 easy methods by which you can make your own anti aging moisturizers.

Methods to Make Your Own Anti Aging Moisturizers

Anti Aging Moisturizer From Calendula

Calendula flowers are widely used in many anti aging treatments, owing to their strong anti oxidant properties. To prepare an effective anti-aging moisturizer, you will have to boil dried calendula flowers in water for about 15 minutes. Later on, strain the solution and keep it closed. In another vessel, mix together 20 ml of calendula oil and 40 ml of sweet almond oil. Add this mixture to 20 g of melted beeswax, which is kept on a flame, and stir well. The addition of beeswax will ensure that the moisturizer has a smooth and creamy consistency.

To this mixture, add the previously prepared calendula solution along with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.  Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool down. Do transfer this mixture to an airtight container and continue shaking for 10 minutes, to ensure that the ingredients have mixed well.

Aloe vera And Olive Oil Moisturizer

Aloe vera and olive oil are two natural ingredients, which are proven to be very helpful in the fight against aging. While the properties of Aloe vera helps in hydrating the skin, olive oil helps in improving the lost elasticity of the skin. Hence, it is quite natural for these elements to be included in almost all anti aging treatments.
