Is your kid unwilling to play outside and loves to stick to cartoons or computer games? Then you must buy him an electric scooter which will encourage him to go outside and play.

Electric scooters are a great outdoor activity and at the same time kids find great fun riding them.

There are many types of electric scooters available in the market. But before buying a good one, you must do a market survey. In market you will find different brands which offer a wide variety of colors, features, size and style from which you can pick according to your kid’s taste. Here we will discuss some of the types of electric scooters and how to use and maintain them.

Razor scooter: The Razor scooter offers features like changeable height, a high torque chain drive motor for better execution of about 10 mph and 15 km and a 125 mm polyurethane back wheel for extra coziness. Razor also offers a choice of metallic colors which is perfect for boys as well as girls.

Rocket scooter: Rocket manufactures an array of fashionable scooters. The main features of rocket scooters are: modifiable height, a variety of bright colors, a detachable seat and rubber wheels for a smooth and noiseless ride. Rocket scooters can be folded for transport and storage.

Storm scooter: Storm offers models of scooters with features like detachable seat stand, easy assembly switch start, front drum brake, a side stand, pneumatic air tiers, flexible handle bars and twist throttle just like in a motor bike. Storm scooters can be folded and hence can be easily stored anywhere. These scooters can be driven up to 15 km in one go, but after that you have to recharge them.

Make sure to protect your child’s hands, knee, elbow and head by giving them hand gloves, elbow and knee pads and scooter helmet. Make certain that they wear them before going on a ride.

It is recommended that the kid should initially use these scooters on grassy lawns, once they become confident and can balance themselves, they can move on to hard surfaces.

Electric scooters are easy to maintain. Make sure that you recharge the batteries as per the instructions given in the manual of your scooter. Also advise your kids not to drop the scooter unnecessarily; otherwise it will not last long.
