If you think only oily skin needs to be exfoliated then you are wrong. It is true that those with oily skin need to exfoliate more often. However those with dry skin need to exfoliate too. This is a process where the dead skin cells are eliminated and the skin looks clean and clear.

Since every skin type is different it has different requirements. If you have dry skin then using products for your own skin type will be beneficial else it may have a negative impact on your skin. I have a few home made remedies for you in order to improve your skin condition.

In order to make an exfoliating cream for dry skin you will need half an avocado and a cucumber. Scoop the inside of the avocado and with the help of a spoon mash it till there are no lumps in it. Take a 2 inch piece of cucumber and dice it finely. After it has been diced mash it the same way the avocado was mashed. Do this in a small bowl so that you are able to collect all the juice from the cucumber too.

Add honey and a spoon of sugar to this mix and mix all the ingredients together. You may add a few spoons of olive oil to the mix. Do not add too much oil as you need the mix to be a paste rather than a liquid consistency. Ensure that the sugar granules do not dissolve completely.

Apply the scrub all over your body. Use a generous amount on your arms, legs, knees, elbows and your face. Massage the paste on to your skin for a few minutes using circular movements. After you have completed massaging your face let the paste stay on your face for a few minutes. The olive oil from the paste will nourish the skin as the pores are already open.

In order to wash your skin you need warm water. Dip a wash cloth in warm water and then wipe the scrub from your skin.

Use a moisturizer on your skin immediately after washing it. Use a light moisturizer as the olive oil in the gel will already moisturize your skin.
