We’ve just gone through the holiday season and almost all of us have packed on a few unwanted pounds. Well, the holiday season is now over and its time to shape up and get rid of the excess flab that you’ve accumulated.
For those of you who live in regions that are cold you may not want to exercise outdoors ; if you are not able to exercise or are too lazy to do so then I have a few tips that will help you out. In order to loose the excess flab you will need to make a few changes in your lifestyle.
To begin with you will need to reduce your sugar intake. Over the holiday season you may have indulged in chocolates, cookies and goodies that were laden in sugar. This needs to stop. You will need to avoid consuming sugar completely; if this is not possible then you can reduce its consumption.
Start by reducing the amount of sugar in your daily cups of tea or coffee. One amazing way to cut your consumption of sugar is to avoid drinking juices and aerated drinks. Opt for fresh fruit juices or water instead.
Another easy way to reduce excess holiday weight is to include vegetables in your diet. Try out a vegetable diet for a few weeks to help you cleanse your system and eliminate the excess fats from your body. Vegetables like tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are great sources of vitamins and minerals and they make delicious meals. Eat them in the raw form as often as possible.
In order to loose the weight you’ve gained you will need to cut down on your consumption of white foods as they are high in carbohydrates. White rice, pasta, and white bread increase the amount of carbohydrates in your body and this will have an adverse effect on your plans of losing weight.
Avoid snacking on left over goodies of the last holiday season. Instead load up your refrigerator with low fat yogurt, skimmed milk and fresh fruit. Snack on these healthy foods and you will maintain your calorie intake as well as improve your energy levels drastically.
I am not a big fan of exercising but I have found a fool proof way to exercise around the house. Once a week I make it a point to thoroughly clean the bathroom, the floors in the house and the sinks. It works as a form of exercise and gives me a sense of satisfaction of a clean house. This is one of the best ways to exercise if you do not like to exercise and you will burn 4 calories per minute.
