Talk about colors, and we’ve all got our favorites. Every one of us is fascinated by at least some color, and given a chance we would love to paint the whole world in that color.
Just take a look around your house and in your wardrobe, and you’ll see there’s one particular color that dominates your choice because it is your favorite.
There is more to colors
Maybe you are aware, or maybe not, that every color has a different impact on our emotions, are bodies and are moods. Every color has a meaning attached to it, and the moment you look at it, it triggers a certain emotional reaction.
Like some colors make us calm and relaxed while there are others which heat up our temper and increase our anxiety. There are some colors which depress us, and there are those which energize us.
And this is a little fact that color therapy tries to use so as to positively influence people’s lives with the use of different colors.
Now, depending upon what you’re trying to achieve in life, you can choose one of these colors and infuse it into your wardrobe and your home décor. Here is a short little guide, which talks about what affect some of the basic colors have on our moods.
Red: it is the color of strength, perseverance, leadership and passion. So fix up your confidence and love life problems with this color.
Orange: this color is associated with freedom, zeal and sociability. Orange color is also perceived as welcoming and inviting, and could help you to strengthen your social circle.
Yellow: this color is all about originality, creativity, wit and imagination, so if you want to boost your creativity and imagination add some yellow to your home or office decor.
Green: this is one color you can use when things go out of control, because it is believed to trigger harmony, gentleness, munificence and stability.
Blue: when you’re stressed out and agitated, this is the color which can help bring in some calmness, tranquility and spirituality.
Indigo: if you want to add some spirituality to your life, this color can help, as it is known to improve perception, intuitiveness and receptiveness. It also helps your mind to get into the meditative state much sooner.
Violet: the effects of this color are somewhat similar to that of yellow that is it helps to boost your creativity.
