Cleanup Tips For 1950's Pinup MakeupThe 1950s were an age of glamor and beauty. Hollywood was dominated by the makeup look which was essentially a clean kind of look with red lips and winged eyes. This style is effortlessly glamorous. No wonder divas like Marilyn Monroe would wear it and make it eternal fashion statement.

This pinup look was worn by a lot of women of the time. Even today, there is hardly any other rule of the thumb than this style for the socialistas and the fashionistas alike. This easy to do and difficult to wear is for the women who are passionate, love to break the rules, live life their own way, yet they have the fire of life that makes them build their own codes and break them themselves.

Women setting this trend were the true divas.  A lot of women who are perhaps not the diva in the sense they are not popular, are still divas in different sense of the term. These strong women have also chosen to wear this style. But wearing this style alone is not enough. There was a popular concept that makeup ruins your natural skin.

Nothing could be more truthful than this, yet nothing more untruthful. While makeup would make you feel good and confident, not removing all traces of makeup at the end of the day and moreover, sleeping with your makeup on, would not only ruin your skin, but might cause long term adverse effects as well. So, it is crucial that the face should be cleaned off all makeup when your purpose is served, the party over and you are tired enough to retire to your bed. But, take some time. Spend at least five minutes to remove all the makeup.

There are several methods which are very effective. Since, you tend to wear fake lashes, give a gentle blast of hot air on your lashes to loosen the glue and then, gently take off the lashes. Do not be over-zealous to over-do this. Next to remove the eye makeup, use a mild eye makeup remover. Take some cotton wool and soak it up with the cleanser.

Gently start rubbing the pad in circular motion on your eyelids and also under the eyes to remove all the eye makeup and the under eye concealer.  Since lips do have a strong color like red, you must be careful to remove all lipstick and eventual stains on the lips. To do this, take a little more of this cleanser on another clean piece of cotton wool and just like your eyes, gently start rubbing on your lips.

Once your lipstick is clean, repeat this, so that the remover penetrates the thin skin and wipes off all the stain. Now that the most sensitive parts are clean, massage the cleanser of your entire face. Then, take a wet wipe and clean this off to remove all traces of makeup. Since, the 1950s look involve some strong colors, removing them all at a go might make you look or feel messy which is detested by a lot of women. This method would remove all traces of makeup without creating any ugly mess.
