Plan your fasting schedule
It’s never advisable to fast for more than 24 hours at a stretch, as this can lead to several deficiencies and general body weakness. If you try to constraint yourself too much and extend your fasting session to more than 24 hours, its very likely that you may land up in a health care centre with some medical problem.
Ideally one should not fast for more than 2 days in a week, and that’s quite sufficient – losing two pounds of fat a week is reasonably good. When deciding on which days you will be fasting for weight loss, remember to keep them well spaced over the week, that means at least a two day gap between two subsequent fasts.
Consider your weekly activities while choosing your fasting days and pick up those days of the week on which you won’t be involved with too many activities, especially outdoor activities.
Fasting means going without food, but certainly not without water. Having enough fluids all through the day is important to prevent dehydration. Have a glass of water and a glass of fresh fruit juice, every two hours. The more fluids you intake the better will be your weight loss results.
