Body mists are not as intense as perfumes. The body mists either have an alcohol base or a water base with a hint of perfume oils.
Store purchased body mists can be quite expensive. However body mists can be prepared with a variety of perfume oil and you can even create your own unique body mist recipes.
Heavenly Peony Body Mist Recipe:
In a clean glass bowl combine ten drops of peony essential oil, five drops of everlasting essential oil, three tablespoons of vodka, and two cups of pure distilled water and ten drops of sandalwood essential oils. Once the ingredients have blended well transfer them to a spray bottle. Allow the ingredients to settle for at least a day before spraying it on.
Stardust Body Mist Recipe:
In a clean glass container mix two cups of pure distilled water, three tablespoons of vodka, five drops of lavender essential oil, and ten drops each of valerian and chamomile essential oils. Blend the ingredients well and transfer to a spray bottle. Allow the body mist to settle for twelve hours before spraying it on.
Earthy Body Mist Recipe:
In a glass bowl add four ounces of boiled and distilled water. To the water add two green tea bags. Let the tea bags remain in the water for fifteen minutes. Remove the tea bags and keep the tea water aside.
Take an empty spray bottle and pour the cooled tea water into it. Now add two drops of rosewood essential oil and one drop of lavender essential oil. Give the bottle a good shake and keep the liquid refrigerated for at least twenty four hours before using it.
Forest Fresh Body Mist Recipe
In a glass bowl, take two cups of distilled water. Add three tablespoons of vodka, five drops of sandalwood essential oil, ten drops of bergamot essential oil and ten drops of cassis essential oils. Mix the ingredients well and transfer to a spray bottle. Allow the liquids to sit for at least twelve hours before using it.
