In summer most people suffer from dehydration. This can be a huge issue as it can lead to a number of other issues and in severe cases it can be the cause of death. Along with keeping yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fruit juices it is also essential that you wear appropriate clothing. This allows your skin to breathe and prevents the body from heating up.

The choice of fabrics has a lot to say about the way your body reacts to the summer heat. Lighter fabrics allow the body to breathe with ease. If you wear thick fabrics during summer it does not allow the body to perspire and this can cause the skin to get suffocated and may be the cause of uneasiness and dizziness.

Summer clothes need to be in lighter shades. Dark colors attract heat and hence they are not a good option for summer. Pastel shades compliment the season and they are a good option for the summer as they soak in the perspiration too.

In order to avoid sun burns and rashes you need to use a thick layer of sunscreen lotion on all exposed parts of your body. Not only will the sunscreen prevent skin darkening it also ensures that your body attracts a lesser amount of heat. Use a thick layer of sunscreen on your skin at night in order to soothe any burning sensation on your skin that may be caused due to improper attire.

Wear a hat or scarf to protect your head from the sun. Wearing a pair of sunglasses will reduce the glare in your eyes; it will also reduce wrinkle formation and other signs of aging.
