You have a nice house with lovely furniture, with good upholstery and bearably good drapes, but is that all to creating a charming heaven of your own. If you are willing to make a little effort and spend a little money you can lend your house a charismatic ambiance. There are small things which when used interestingly, in your home décor, can create a magical effect in your interiors.

Candles are inexpensive and come in lovely shapes and color, and the best part is that you can use them almost anywhere in your home décor scheme.  Put them on a nice little stand and place it in the entrance, and nothing can be more welcoming. Float some in a water filled glass bowl and place it on your center table. You can even use candles to add a bit of spark to those gloomy looking nooks and corners and make them more interesting. Or best still, get them into your bedroom and enjoy a sensuous delight.

The endless arrays of collectibles in shopping malls are definitely tempting, but they usually come with a big price tag. So drop the idea of picking up any of these expensive decorative items, and go hunting for some craft work or pick up some worthy show pieces from cheap garage sales. Handicrafts are budget friendly, and usually come in attractive colors which can be used to spice up your dull looking interiors.

Lighting is another way to create an ambient spell in your home interiors. But don’t begin thinking about those exquisite chandeliers which are going to cost you a fortune. We’re just talking of simple little adjustments in your lighting scheme, like buying some attractive lamp shades or using traditional lanterns to get that nice cozy feeling which usually goes missing with tube-lights.

All these things are fairly inexpensive, but when used with some degree of creativity and imagination they can lend your house and absolutely fantastic new look. But surely for some of these things you will have to go hunting to get the best pieces at the most affordable prices.
