Adventure Sports
Are you the one who finds comfort in the shelter of the house or you are the one who finds solace amidst rough terrains, steep slopes and torrents? Adventure sports are all about guts and bravery and are not for the faint hearten.
It has also become the lifestyle of the thousands of alpha male who love to live life on the edge. The exhilaration, the excitement is something which you will cherish in adventure sports. So what are these adventure sports and how should one train for them?
Being a diehard white water rafter I think I can provide you with some clue.
Fitness:
Adventure sports are not for everybody. You need physical fitness along with mental fitness. They involve a lot of danger and if you are faint hearted then it may prove to be quite fatal for you. Moreover along with age the body faces several ailments and as a result aged persons are not generally fit for adventure sports. Think yourself. Are you fit enough to join the club
of the tough males? If not then bow out.
Training:
Adventure sports are not something that you can simply go out and play. It requires hard training for months and years and if you pass the tests then only you are eligible to participate in it. Let me give you a few examples of the hardness of the training. In rock climbing schools you may have to practice climbing 90 degree steep rocks constantly for 5 hours. In the
case of white water rafting it may take more than two years to learn the techniques of rafting through dangerous torrents.
Types;
Adventure sports are of different kinds Paragliding, Bungee Jumping, White Water rafting, Rock Climbing, deep sea diving etc.
Choose the one that suits and attracts you most or you are most passionate about because without passion you cannot succeed in anything.
