A Simple Guide to Using Makeup Colors

Most women don’t have the slightest idea as to how to pick, choose and match their makeup colors. While some women may simply like to follow the ongoing trend, there are others who may simply try to coordinate their makeup color with the color of their outfit.

However, both the strategies may not work all the time, so you need to know more about to how to decide on makeup colors based on your natural beauty.

Makeup color for your eyes

•    If the natural color of your eyes is blue, then you need to go in for a blue or slate gray eye shadow and a medium brown shade of mascara.

•    Green eyes look adorable, when shaded with green or plum eye shadow and complementing plum mascara.

•    Green, bronze and gold shades will help in highlighting naturally brown eyes, and to accentuate them further you can top up your eyelashes with some blue mascara.

Lip makeup based on your skin tone

•    Peach and mauve are the most stunning lip colors for the fair-skin.

•    For the olive skinned women, gold, medium brown and pink or peach with a touch of gold are the best suited lip colors.

•    Bronze, rich brown, burgundy, berries and even medium brown lip makeup works well when your skin color is on the darker side.

Cheek makeup for every skin tone

•    If you’re planning to use blush on your fair skin, your ideal choice should be bronze color. However, beige and peach shades also look equally pleasing on fair-skin.

•    Blushers in bronze, mild pink and apricot shades are most suited to olive skin tones.

•    When your skin tone is somewhere between olive and dark skin tone, that’s medium brown skin, then you can go in for light copper, peach or a medium pink blush.

•    Dark skin tones should preferably avoid using blush, however if you must use it then let your color choice be something like rust or burnt orange.
