A Fresh Touch To Your Home Interiors
When it comes to decorating our homes, we usually end up spending big amounts to beautify our dwellings, but the sad part is that after a few years we get tired of looking at the same old things and yearn for a new look. And since changing everything around is impossible every few years, so we have here a few versatile accessories that you can use to spice up the looks of your abode without hurting your bank balance.
Rugs and throws
It’s worth investing money on a piece or two, because they are a cheap yet versatile way to add charm and warmth to your home. When you go looking for a throw, keep the color scheme of your living room and your bedrooms in mind and find something that can blend with all the different color schemes. So that way the same rug can be used in either of the rooms. Also if you have a little spare money, you could pick up cushions to match with the throw and that will become a complete set.
When you want your living room to look warm and cozy, just drape the throw over your couch and place the matching cushions either on the couch or around the couch. And you’re done!
If you are looking for more interesting ways, to use your throw, you can also hang them on the wall. You needn’t get it framed just hang it simply on the wall, say behind the sofa or behind the bed and you can place the cushions on the sofa or the bed. This is also a nice way to hideaway worn out wall paints and wallpaper.
Flowers and plants
A bunch of flowers can instantly turn a drab looking room into something interesting. And similar is the charm of potted plants. The rest is up to you how you organize them around the house. As for flowers, choose them in a color which is a little striking so as to add contrast to your room interiors.
Potted plants are even better than flowers, because they are cheap and long lasting. And here you needn’t stick around with the usual green plants, rather go in for some variegated varieties with striped or spotted leaves.
