4 Tools to Fight Hair Fall

February 10, 2009

4-tools-to-fight-hair-fallThe right comb

A wide-toothed comb is a must for every woman, who’s facing the problem of falling hair. You must avoid all other types of combs and brushes, to untangle and comb your hair. Another thing that’s equally important is to untangle your hair in sections, to avoid uprooting them. Also, when you’re applying conditioner to your hair, just run a wide-toothed comb through your hair, to spread it more evenly.

Leave-in hair conditioner

That’s another hair care essential, needed to prevent hair breakage. These conditioners, which moisturize your hair, also help to detangle your hair without causing much harm to them. Keep a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy, to apply a fresh coat whenever your hair feels dry and rough. Whenever you apply the conditioner do run a comb through your hair, to spread the conditioner more evenly.

A leave in conditioner will improve the texture of your hair, while giving it a good shine and a healthy bounce. In case, your hair is exposed to chemical and heat treatments, such as straightening and coloring, then the leave-in conditioner becomes an absolute must for you.

Hair revitalizing oils

While the leave-in conditioner will ensure health for the strands; you need to feed the hair follicles as well. And to feed your hair follicles you need regular oil massage.  Coconut, olive and Almond oils make for a good choice; however leaving the oil in your hair, when going out, can kill your style. So, while weekly massages are one way to oil your scalp, the other way is to rub in a few drops of oil immediately after a hair wash. These few drops applied to wet hair will not make your hair sticky and difficult to style.

Eggs

Using eggs for a hair wash or as a hair pack is indeed one stinky affair, but there is nothing as good as egg for your hair. Beat in a tablespoon of olive oil into an egg and let this pack stand on your hair for about half an hour and later you can wash it off with cold water. To cover up the stench you can always use a scented shampoo for washing your hair.
